"WORKING THROUGH DEPRESSION" CLASS

This class will be held every two weeks in the Santa Cruz area. Anyone who is interested can call me at 831-688-1073 for more information and to get on the waiting list. The cost is quite low.

Each class will be 90 minutes long and will include helpful ideas, tools, techniques, guided meditations, and interactive participation in a relaxed, safe environment. People who have participated in the past found the class to be very helpful in coming to terms with their depression and themselves in depression.

Some of the topics we will explore in the class:

*YOU are the best expert your depression; it is unique to you.

*Depression is a natural, common psychological process.

*We each play our own part in our depression.

*Our culture misunderstands and misinterprets depression.

*A history of depression reveals very different views of it.

*The positive side of dis-illusionment.

*Learning to observe and be with ourselves in depression.

*Learning to accept ourselves in depression.

*Learning to listen to and hear the message of depression.

*The honest truth depression can bring to us.

*Finding peace even within the midst of depression.

*Using self-observational exercises to observe depression and yourself in the process of depression.

The class is based on my book (shown above). We will work with it in class. It would helpful to have your own copy, though it is not required.
